Cosmic Starfish – Live at the Black Rose Caffe

This Thursday, August 24, 2006 we will be hosting a very special musical event at the Black Rose Caffe. Cosmic Starfish will be here for a live concert at 8:00 PM. This is a one time chance to see a National act of this caliber. This is a truly unique performance that you won’t want to miss.

Plan to join us this Thursday evening

Black Rose Caffe

1800 N. Stone Ave.

Tucson, AZ

520.777.3079

Cosmic Starfish, aka Jeffrey Randall Snyder, is a one man electrofolkpop phenomenon who blends an inviting mix of heartfelt folk tunes with psychedelic electronica. Simply put, it’s iFolk.

CS started back in Los Angeles, Summer 2004 when Jeffrey, a local singer/songwriter, got together with his long time buddy and producer extraordinaire, Adrien75. Together, they developed a fresh musical aesthetic by layering unaffected vocals and acoustic guitars over completely synthetic backing tracks.

Ever since, Cosmic Starfish has been spreading the love at clubs and radio stations across the country. And now, with a wonderfully reviewed debut album, Cosmic Starfish is poised to take on the world.

Lee Tyler Post

Lee Tyler Post first performed at the Black Rose Caffe on Saturday, August 12, 2006. We first met Lee through Michael Yugo. Lee and his wife Jackie are wonderful people we had great fun meeting them and getting to know them. Lee Tyler Post is an awesome performer. His music is powerful and riveting. He has wonderful stage presence – interacting with his audience. He really appreciates his fans and treats them like family. We are hoping that he will be able to perform here often.

Biography

Singer-Songwriter Lee Tyler Post’s style ranges from Roots Rock to Acoustic Soul to R&B, with a splash of Adult Alternative. His lyrics convey stories of everyday people. He calls it “Rock ‘N’ Soul.”

Starting out as a San Diego based artist in the mid ‘90s, Lee opened for the likes of Missing Persons & Blink 182. Followed were live TV appearances on The KUSI & KNSD Morning Shows. In 1999 Lee relocated to Nashville, TN where he honed his craft playing alongside such greats as Tony Lane. Always one to venture out, Lee has
also lived and performed in Austin, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Currently Lee resides in San Diego, CA again, where he is finishing up his next
release, “Gathering The Stones” at Miracle Somethings Studio. Lee will
then embark on a coast-to-coast Spring & Summer tour to promote the
album before relocating to Seattle, WA in the Fall.

Always eager to lend his time and talents to charitable causes, Lee has
performed at benefits for M.A.D.D., the M.S. Society, and The Ramona
Cancer Resource Center. As well as at fundraisers for camps for
seriously ill children, most recently to benefit The Victory Junction
Gang Camp owned by Kyle Petty, the racecar driver, and with Bikers Who
Care/Toys for Tots to help underprivileged children.

Known as a Gypsy Troubadour with a blue collar approach, Lee has toured
extensively the past five years (driving 30,000-50,000 miles annually)
through cities like New York City, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans,
Austin, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Antonio, Atlanta, San Diego,
Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Tucson, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Tampa
… to name a few. While also releasing 5 studio albums!

Lee’s marathon live performances (sometimes 2-3 hr sets without pause) have
been described by his fans as “an Emotional Roller-Coaster”, “Passionate, Powerful and Moving,” “Honest & Pure”, and “Intense and Straight from the Heart.” His down-to-earth on-stage persona compliments his dynamic voice and electrifying shows.

This quote might best describe Lee’s music: “…Post’s sound is as much
Springsteen and Van Morrison as it is Otis Redding and Al Green:
blue-collar heartland grit mixed with Motor City soul…” The San Diego Troubadour

Cinder Bridge – Live at the Black Rose Caffe

Cinder Bridge Live at the Black Rose Caffe

Join us tonight as we present Cinder Bridge live at the Black Rose Caffe.
Cinder Bridge delivers a unique sound with a captivating, bluesy style. Wenger’s bold vocals truly make Cinder Bridge’s music and are perfectly complemented by the engaging, minimalist arrangements and universal themes addressed in the lyrics.
Wenger’s voice is like bootstrap molasses, sweet-salty and powerful but more husky than smooth. Her lyrics map the heart of a woman both wise and fragile, whose search for life’s touchstone recounts both bumps and smooth rides in a style poetic and true … Drum work is very good, matching Wenger’s style so perfectly that it seems to disappear, enhancing rather than bringing attention to itself.
